Hey Goomba I have a question for you. There are speakers I want to buy from Vanns.com. They are 300 US and free shipping. I "Think" the total weight is 27.5 pounds. Your shipping estimate on gfc puts it at about 61 shipping. That is way above my budget, is there any alternative options...

Thats pretty good then, I remember UPS charged me 1:1 customs fees a few times and 100 bucks on a 300 dollar receiver as well. Ridiculous.

So does the shipping service you use include potential customs fees into the total, or is there a chance I can get dinged another 50 bucks? If that is possible, I'd rather take the chance and just put a low value to avoid that. I know if the product is damaged im screwed but I'd rather not pay...

Ya I paid nearly 100 in customs but he also overstated the value. If you were to put the value at say 20 bucks, you should be fine.

Man those are steep shipping prices. I remember when I bought an Audio Receiver, I had it shipped to a friends house in the states than shipped here to Canada. He went to UPS and the estimate was over 150 bucks for the 29 pound shipement, he then went to Fedex (i believe) and it was 43 dollars.

Even though you are swarmed, you must love the fact that business is a boomin :P Im happy that there's a market out there because this service is awesome, so congrats! Anyway, the only reason I kept pestering whether you paid is because I made the whole process a lot more convoluted than it...
