    The Blockbuster/Gamerush Thread XXI

We do it because of publisher relations...not cause they can not sell them. Sometimes the publisher will sell us movies at a discount, but we will have to destroy 50% of our stock of that movie after a month. This means the movies do not go used, which means if they want the movie, they have...

actually, using lost check in command usually charges use the highest price. If you just rent it and keep it, it will charge you what is the on the recepit, which is usually the used price. Also, just ask the for the box art, BBVs are usually sent multiples of them.

So, do not know if this has been posted or not...but it was our "message of the week" BBV is selling 90% of their retail games to a company. They are going to focus more on expanding the rental game section and renting games better. BBV will still get SOME games into buy without preorders...

although it sounds perfectly logical for BBV to sell thier games for some quick cash, even that is REALLY stupid for blockbuster...it would be a better idea if they even relocated those games to stores that sell more games then giving up on games entirely. I mean, our district manager did not...

Do not know if this has been posted, but my district manager JUST told me this. The game sale will END THIS WEEKEND. Whats super crazy: All remaining games from this sale will be shipped to the distribution center... I may not believe him on the ship to DC, but if anyone would know when the...

    The Blockbuster/Gamerush Thread XXI

So. this probably does not go for EVERY blockbuster, but about 6 months ago our District manager told us credits do not matter anymore. BB keeps track of credits for sure, as does any retailer, but voids and exchanges don't matter. Since my store switched to daily rentals, they only care about...

They have been selling blurays for 16.99 used for quite some time now. Including stuff like dark knight, iron man, tropic thunder and wanted. They sell them in thier original blu ray cases, so maybe get a ps3 case or something if that bothers you

At the BBV i work at we gave away the bobbleheads when they preordered, as we were instructed too, which is why you had to put down 10 dollars. You might be SOL.

The rock band 2 kit is on our "selected preorders", which means its guaranteed. Also, if yall like stand up card board things. My store got a big Fallout 3 brootherhood of steel guy that i called right after the box. If none of the employees want them they usually give them to customers.

The General 360 Owners/Buyers FAQ Thread (Updated 1/15/10)

I went into work today shocked to find out that were going to offer preorder bonuses that are NOT framed art (for once). Gears of War 2 preorder gets you a free comic book Midnight Club preorder gets you a free rental Fable 2 gets you a picture (which are the dumbest things ever) Fallout 3 gets...

The General 360 Owners/Buyers FAQ Thread (Updated 1/15/10)

I work at a BBV, and we dont throw away anything concerning games, so it really matters on the store. We have a HUGE filing cabinet in the back, and when we need to condense the rental section for a new game, we put the box away (we have another caninet for that) and we file the game art in...
