The games were obviously stolen by one or more of their employees. This type of thing happens all the time, and for years. People work at these stores and rip them off in different ways, then disappear.

Picked up Kirby Superstar Ultra, Dragon Quest IV, No More Heroes... and then House of the Dead 2&3, Final Fantasy IV and Bully.

I got the REALISTIC VIOLENCE!?!!#@@?!! version. I didn't know it was a misprint, but I did notice it once and thought it was funny and weird. As if some employee was trolling the game. Anyone would think FF7 was an M rated game after reading that. I see that the picture of Ifrit above is smaller...
