Had it in my cart for a few seconds before getting denied

Amazon order just arrived today finally they gave me free next day shipping.  Amazon preorders back in business!

Best Buy response on my backordered items that I ordered a full day before preorders closed... really hope I dont have to scramble for these.

So am I the only one getting screwed even though I put in my order really early? Are others seeing backordered in order status?

My 4 Zelda Champion Amiibo I ordered YESTERDAY at Best Buy, updated to backordered a few minutes ago.  I was definitely one of the earlier orderers.  Also, they are now not available for ship or pick up on the site (tried to put in another order).  I really hope I am not getting screwed over.  

Or they have full time jobs with vacation days and are taking the day off for amiibo and super mario maker. inb4 someone judges people on what they use their vacation days for, I use them on "real" vacations also.

Wow these numbers on non-store exclusives are getting me nervous.  Tomorrow is going to be a blood bath.

Don't listen to this advice if you live in California. I'm going 1.5-2 hours before (the same amount of time you had to show up before opening for Dark Pit in California).

I'm with you on this, I read your post an understood exactly what you were getting at. The scenario that happened to me was: I got half the day off work, showed up to Best Buy because I thought they would not be online, was 49th for a store that had 48 amiibo, thought welp Im screwed - bought...

Eventhough I already bought one at scalper prices, grabbed one for possible future trades, thx!  Nice lying on Best Buy's part though with the store only BS.

Yeah I've been pretty lucky elsewhere - since I have first run NA of everything else. Scored a Greninja when they put them up at midnight that one day, and was able to get Meta Knight, Lucario, Little Mac, ... with little trouble. Also, ordered Marth and Wii Fit trainer before those blew up...

Stories like these make me so sad. I was there a full hour before opening and got nothing.

I really wouldn't get your hopes up, always count on getting screwed if you live in CA because of the sheer number of people hunting these. Every single CA store I have been to have sold out in minutes after opening, including rural area stores. I just got back from a Best Buy in the...
