Wow. Now I'm really thankful for the Best Buy stores in my area. I've never had an issue with an in-store pickup, pre-order or not. They've always been absolutely solid.
How does this even happen? I preordered mine from BestBuy.com and they were in an entirely different section of the store. Mine had my name right on the box and required my credit card to checkout (e.g. like every other BestBuy.com in-store pickup I've ever done).
It makes me mad that some of...
When I talked to the woman at layaway when I placed the pre-order, she told me it will sit in the back until I come and get it, or until Dec. 14. I think this guy's Wal-Mart manager is just a a$$hole. Layaway is not backup inventory... people have put down deposits knowing that they have a...
I bought that one. Two protectors for $9.99. I got it on pretty quick with no bubbles and minimal particles trapped underneath. It looks and feels really good.
My receipt says Dec. 14. I already have my Wii U, but I have a couple on lawaway at Wal-Mart for relatives. I was headed out there today. I find it rather dubious that a layaway purchase would be arbitrarily canceled three weeks before the deadline listed on the receipt without a phone call or...
Best Buy has my Wii U and NSMBU listed as ready for pickup! I have church until noon, so I'll stroll in afterward tomorrow when all the craziness has subsided. Awesome.
Why? Whether you paid it off or not, layaway still works the exact same way. If they're going to accidentally sell a reserved console that is supposed to be cataloged and set aside , they're not going to discriminate over one that is paid in full versus one that only has the deposit down...
I guess if you're really bad at managing your finances. I don't usually "worry" about swiping my credit card or handing over cash to pay the rest of a pre-order balance. We've just seen multiple cases here of people unnecessarily paying off their Wii U layaway at Wal-Mart before picking it up...
Maybe it's just a function of being over 30 and having a steady job, but I don't understand why anyone is even bothering to pay off their interest-free layaway balance early.
