I understand you wont be able to BUY DLC after the marketplace goes down and only be able re-download DLC if you bought it before. But what about patches or updates to games? Will I still be able to download patches/update of the game after the marketplace goes down?

Yeah thats what I think too. They took too much in a short amount of time, that in order to finish their old deals they need to keep pumping new ones to pay for the old one. I was hoping the Embracer buy out would have helped fix this but it doesnt look like so. I'd be weary to buy anything...
