Ah I was only planning to trade in the Kinect, but thanks for the advice. It turns out that they do check and they couldn't take my Kinect in without having an Xbox One hooked up.

Does GameStop check if the kinect 2.0 works for trade ins? Cutting it close in time and wanna see if I can squeeze this trade in before work or wait til after

I know it's a weird trade, but it should be pretty straightforward and immediate considering all one needs to do is log on and then edit in their details. It's an account made in NA if that matters.

Update: Decided to keep it. Sony may allow us to change our ID. One year of PS+ (ends March 2015, has all current PS4 IGC activated) along with TLOU + DLC and some Vita IGC games I don't remember. I'm selling because I want to change my ID. Just superficial stuff. This is a bit of a weird...

Long Island Best Buy's definitely need receipts for trade-ins. I had to go to Flushing to trade mine in and it was handled just fine. There were already a number of 360s sitting on the customer service desk when I went in. I had a black Elite, HDMI (lost original component/composite cables)...

So, is it cool to trade in an Elite with an HDMI cable instead of the pack in component cables?

I have a 120GB black Elite with a wired controller and HDMI cable. I don't have the original component/composite cables or headset. Am I out of luck or is this a YMMV thing?
