My son's xbox did this. I removed the disk drive, opened it, pulled the laser forward and put a light coat of 3in1 oil on the rails that the laser moves on. It works great now. There is a video on youtube that shows how to open the case without breaking it.

I had a set of these a couple years ago and they were great. My son broke them. I saw this deal and bought them again. These are not the same quality as the older ones. The adapter will not make a connection to the controller. Save your money.

I took my launch PS3 in yesterday. It's like new. I hardly used it. They didn't check to see if it worked. I got 16.77 for a dual shock controller and 14.57 for a six axis controller. I also traded, Battlefield Bad Company 2 = 22.00 and COD MW2 = 26.40. I also got 15.40 for uncharted 2.
