As soon as I saw that my character was missing I exited and there hasn't been any sign of him since. Oh well, I had only done the tutorial and a few races.

Has there been an issues with deleted characters lately? I haven't played in almost a week because I lost mine and don't really want to put time into a new character if there's still a high risk of losing them.

So I have a probably really dumb question. Is there a way to quit/restart a missiin or race without failing or losing? I looked all over the menu and didn't see anything when I accidently triggered a race with Franklin.

I was thinking of trading my 360 and PS3 phat towards a new PS3 superslim but I have a couple possible issues. The first is that my 360 doesn't have the original controller, but an official MS one that's a different color. Will GameStop accept it? And my PS3 doesn't have the original USB cable...
