In my case, my girlfriend loved it. About the only game with an FPS control-style she can play. I only enjoyed the game because we played system-link co-op. I can understand not liking the game single player, or playing with strangers who might plop into your game for a couple minutes and...
Probably in a pile of Gamestop gift cards. I know whenever I trade in, I make them put each dollar on a separate card. I plan on filling a swimming pool so I may swim through my vast in-store credit wealth!
I think the issue here would be Gamestop acknowledging that they are selling potentially defective product. I suppose that on a cartridge, a label could be removed and the game still be fully functional, but it's hard for a DVD to look damaged yet playable, without testing the game. Maybe they...
Does anyone else get a wonderful sense of holiday joy, satisfaction, and yuletide spirit out of calling up Wii (now Wii-U) flippers from Craigslist and telling them that you are oh-so very interested in their $500 Wii - just need to meet up at X place at X time, then never going?
Or am I the...
Here's what may have happened - Despite another poster claiming that if they just traded in your games, the computer would have automatically given you the 30%, and then the GS employee would be proven wrong, the employee could have done a sneaky little trick... The employee can key the...
Kinda off topic, but has anyone else gotten their hands on a demo Wii-U? My local Gamestop has one set up where their Wii used to be. Only playable demo was Rayman, however.
I could see that, like I said in my last post - basically, the computer system isn't going to stop an employee from taking too many orders. They can only shut down a specific preorder item overnight, not during the middle of the day, and not after a specific number of preorders.
I actually recall the day of the preorder more than the launch itself, mostly because we didn't manage it well. I remember all these people waiting before we opened, just to preorder the system. More people than we had preorders. For some stupid reason, we decided to let them all line up at...
I'm curious too. My store was allocated a certain number of Wii in Sept/October. We actually had a line just to preorder your Wii one morning in Sept/October, which is what I expected for Wii-U, and was surprised GS just took as many orders as it could throughout a couple of days.
Even if everything goes according to plan, such as your system being 1000% YOURS, no evil manager going rogue or Nintendo not sending out enough systems, etc. And even if you don't care about the "launch party" or being around like-minded gamers - there is still reason to be there, in line, for...
