I just checked out that Arthur Gies Doom video since it came up on the show. I listened to the podcast Arthur is on for years in the past (Rebel FM) so I am pretty familiar with him, if not a big fan of any site he was on or his reviews in particular. It's pretty crazy to see that's him...
To me it looked like a silly take on LOTR. They literally kept the same scenes and dialogue but add in these whacky moments to poke fun at it all. The gameplay seems like standard Lego game style. Watch this Giant Bomb quick look for a good idea of what it's like.

It really needs to be better integrated on the website. I should be able to see all the credits on my account, even if they aren't able to used at the moment or what have you.
Yeah as I said the story is in the back seat to the setting and atmosphere, which the game really nails. I love the equipment you get and the lore with it. Equipping your guys with gear that is thousands of years old and has this history of killing Xenos on huge campaigns.. it's really cool stuff.
Haha a bit easier.
Yeah I played through Skyrim on PS3. Looking forward to another turn on PC now with mods. Level scaling is definitely something I will be checking out.
Have you tried mods?
I haven't yet, just getting a PC with Skyrim now, but I've heard they have level scaling mods to give you that aspect back.
I played with one on Oblivion and it had that old school difficulty, which was fun.
Dishonored's length is so dependent on how you play. If you are very direct you can finish some missions really quick but if you're the stealthy type who likes to explore it's much longer.
Yeah. The plot doesn't have a ton going on, its mostly the setting and what's there is taken further in II and in the expansion Chaos Rising. It'd definitely be fine.
Might want to check a wiki for the plot but it's not super story dependent. The set up is basically thing are going to hell...
If you are on the fence because it's RTS, as I said, know that DoW II is like a tactical action RPG. It's pretty unique. Also you get the game plus the two expansions.
I thought II was much better than I.
Dawn of War II is one of my favorite games ever. It's very tactical, it's almost really more like Diablo or something than a real RTS because you only have a few units and its really about managing their abilities, equipment, etc.
Dawn of War I is good too, it's just more of a traditional RTS...
Yeah the whole thing is pretty messy.
I wish I could see all my credits on the Amazon site somewhere.
Plus I have all those F2P credits spamming up my mailbox.
Good deals just minor gripes.
