Well I'm going to use it for college, and basically use it for everything. I want to try and find a Core 2 Duo, 1GB ram, a Dvd burner drive, and support for wireless/ethernet. My budget is around $1000

Has anybody seen any deals instore or online for Notebooks with XP on them? I need to get a laptop stat but I don't really want to get Vista just yet so I can still run all my current programs. Could anybody help me out? Thanks
