I have neither a problem with the cause, nor the promotion. My only issue is with the gross misuse of the term 'free' in the title of this topic. I would have called it "PSN Theme with $2+ donation to Red Cross for Japanese disaster relief" or simply "PSN theme with donation".

I missed out on HG when it was 19.99 at BestBuy, was hoping we'd see that again after a while. Even if it comes with a Pokewalker, the current prices are less than appealing compared to the new games.

I had hoped that HeartGold/SoulSilver would go on sale around the time of the Black/White launch. Think it'll happen? Right now HG/SS cost more than the newly launched games!

It's also got an event-exclusive ribbon stuck to it that you couldn't otherwise obtain, which I think is pretty sweet.

I picked up The Shoot and The Fight: Lights Out today. Employee was as clueless as expected, but the deal does still seem to be ongoing. If The Fight sucks I'm going to come back here and let all of you hear about it. But I'm not counting on that :P I was thinking about picking up Time...

Aside from the point about MSRP, I have my doubts that this will even be a deal in the long run. Look at the Fallout 3 collector's edition. When it isn't being sold second hand it pops up for $20-30 in occassional deals. Same with Bioshock 2, Dragon Age, etc. Just because something's called...
