I bought a refurbished Onkyo TX-SR606 for about $275 (after shipping and tax) from shoponkyo.com
I haven't tested the receivers upscaling since I have a new tv that handles all resolutions but most of the reviews say it upscales better than the 605 and looks good doing it.

GTA4 was the only good game at $14.99 or under. The toughest part was finding out which game was even worth picking up for free. I picked Marvel Ultimate Alliance since it was one of the few non-sports games. I figure if I don't like it, then it will be easier to trade back.

Couple other options on newegg but that one had reviews from people that already tested it on a PS3. Probably can find some better deals through checking other sites. Big, fast drive is the way to go.
