Getting a Playgear case for my PSP and in the used accessories section, I found a brand new 2200 Stamina PSP battery for $4.99. The guy at EB said it was stolen from the store, and the kids that swiped it traded it in. I was like, WTF. But I bought it anyway.

Yeah, that happens ALL the time when you flash to one of Dark Alex's Open Edition firmwares. You think you bricked it, but all you have to do is press the backlight button. By the way, what firmware did your PSP have on it when you bought it?

What it the best hard plastic or silicone play through type case? I prefer to use a neckstrap with my PSP but it needs protection.

You won't be able to use MicroSD for a lot of homebrew, etc. It's transfer rate is half that of Pro Duo.

If you buy a retail PSP, make sure the letter code is K or below. K is 2.71 (easily downgraded). I went from 2.71, to 1.5, to 3.40 OE-A and it was a breeze. Now I'm running NES, SNES, ScummVM, and all kinds of cool programs on my PSP. As for storage, don't get the hard drive, lots of stuff isn't...

Well, buy it at Wal-Mart. I was able to look at half a dozen boxes before I found the right one.

Just make sure if you buy a new one, it's marked K or below on the box. K versions are firmware 2.71.
