I agree, Longlegs was the year’s best horror movie. Overall not the best year for the genre so I’m crossing my fingers next year will be better. I saw a year-end list that had Late Night with the Devil at number one, but I didn’t find it remotely scary or suspenseful.
I really loved it at first, but like a lot of open world games it becomes repetitive after a while (the Merlin puzzles in particular). Still, there is a lot to do and I enjoyed the combat. Flying across the map on a thestral was wonderful.
I only have Game Pass Core and all of those discounts showed up for me. The Dead Space Deluxe Edition was GPU-only earlier in the week, but it is available for me now.
For those of you who have used Gameflip to buy a code, I could use your help. I bought a code for Alan Wake II that was listed as “None/Global” under “Region Restriction.” When I got the Xbox code, the seller messaged me and said it was a code from Egypt and that I needed to download an app...
My top ten (based more on fond memories than anything)
Donkey Kong
Yie Ar Kung Fu
Contra
Tecmo Bowl
Street Fighter II
Mario Kart
Castlevania Symphony of the Night
Skylanders Trap Team - (won’t be on anyone else’s list, but first couch co-op with my kiddo)
Mass Effect 2
Legend of Zelda: Breath...
Huge thumbs up to Bethesda for Starfield. I wouldn’t expect it to realistically compete for GOTY since it’s an Xbox exclusive, but my goodness anyone looking for an RPG to play need look no further. Excellent.
