Any idea what time Meijer puts them out?

Don't worry, they didn't forget to charge you. I pre-ordered all of Wave 1 from Toys 'R Us, and my card didn't get charged until a day or 2 after I had received them. That's just the way they roll.

It looks like TRU IS sending me my "cancelled" and my "panic reorder" Lucario. So now the decision becomes if I should sell the extra one, save it for a trade if I miss out on something later, or just return it.

Nothing at all. And only 1 of my 2 pre-orders are even showing up at all.

When I got my Pit last night at Gamestop, the cashier just wanted to hold and look at Pit for a minute because she didn't think she'd ever see one come through their doors again.  Not sure how true that is, but it was a nice moment.

Woohoo! My local Gamestop has the one and only Pit left in the area and they are holding for me! Wave 2 complete!

That's the frustration I had with the entire 2nd wave. The only reason I ended up getting a Little Mac on Friday was they had 1 in stock about a half hour from me at a Gamestop that they were holding for another guy. But the employee told me the other guy was an a**h*** and if I came in that...

Exactly. The distance between the bottom of the packaging and the actual NFC chip in the Amiibo isn't great enough to affect functionality. It's just a really thin aluminum metal square that blocks communication.

I just think they look cool in the packaging. That's literally my only reason. I hang them on the wall with tiny Command Strips. So 0 shelf space. Takes up a little wall décor room, but they look really nice the way they are displayed all together.

I agree 100%. It's not for everyone. Just people who collect like me but also want function. Buying 2 is great, just not for me.

I may steal his approach. A little more difficult but a little more evasive than my approach.

For those of you (like me) who only want to collect one of each Amiibo but keep them in the package while using them, you can cut a small hole in the bottom of the packaging and peel back the aluminum with a pair of pliers.  It loses a little value, but I wasn't looking to ever sell them...

I don't know the reasoning, but I have to believe that the reason wave 2 were taken down is not because they aren't going to stock them anymore. They just came out. I'm assuming the got flooded and they were trying to conserve their servers for Christmas shoppers?

Either way, at least as far as Lucario is concerned, I don't have a choice.

The electronics manager at the TRU in Orland Park, IL told me that over the next 3 days (including today) they were getting small shipments of 3 or 4 Pits first thing in the morning.  And if I wanted to go there immediately when they opened, I could take my chances.  I called them at 6 AM this...
