If anyone is wondering about the Insignia controller from Best Buy - I tried it out on a few games and it is pretty good quality. The only drawback I am experiencing is the click-noise of the A and B buttons seems to be a bit louder than the original OEM. Also, the white plastic is shinier...
You can pretty much replace "toy" with any nonessential object. If you view the item as worthless in a derogatory "toy" way, then yes, it is "alot of dumb." If you and/or your family will create some fun memories using it, then maybe not so much.
I get what you are saying, but from my perspective the ticket is not the product. I stayed in my spot in line, even after most of the others left, with my ticket in hand. I see the ticket more as a I-don't-have-to-run-through-the-door-frantically as they open. It's more of a security / safety...

After college and grad school (and now kids) I've seemed to gravitate toward handheld consoles (and lots of ported games on them), probably due to limited amounts of time. I think this generation of consoles (PS4, Wii U, Xbone) will be the first to see me not buy one. My entertainment center...
Nice, thanks for the info. I'll give that a try next time if I need to.
I wonder if I've ever run into any MN CAGer during these weekend sales and not known it... haha
So they let you put stuff on hold all the way through the sale so you can get the 50% off? That's surprising - I think I had them hold a game one time and was told it could only be for the day.
Unless you found something on the 15th, the W & NW stores weren't too exciting. Some wonky pricing in the case too at Northtown. They wanted $65 (before coupon) for The Legend of Spyro: The Eternal Night for DS. Checked ebay ~1/3 of that price.
I did pick up Legend of Heroes III for PSP...
