When it was released back then, they had a production delay for the artbook that came with the CE. So they shipped the CE first, and artbook later separately for those who preordered. I suspect they did open your CE to put the artbook in and then re-seal it.

Then LRG turns around, transfers all the risks to end consumers and takes all the profits they can get. But to be fair, it's extremely hard to predict sales numbers months ahead to make the right amount of CEs. So I can understand some smaller publishers would take the easy way out for projects...

Yea Japan is still tax free for now. I believe customs is charging for goods that shipped from China, and goods that is made in China so that Temu can't just ship things to another country then to US to avoid the tariff.

Wow, that's horrible. This sounds like our customs is going rogue. I believe Japan still has de minimis exemption, so for packages under $800 there should be no import tax. Did your package come from Japan or China?

I think the real question here is about import tax. Trump eliminated de minimus exemption for packages from China/HK. So we're probably on the hook for a 10% import tax now.

Atlus CEs are never hard to pre-order. I believe they make CEs based on their pre-order numbers so people shouldn't have problems getting one if they really want one.
