I'm pretty sure it's too late to get one. I was personally told by Bioware that they called the Kmart in Springfield and told them to pull the game. I suspect other stores in the area got a similar call. Anyone able to pick this up based on my tip?

I think you can safely play it as long as you keep the reciept. Keep it until a day or so after Rock Band comes out then return it to the store. Tell them that you bought it a couple of weeks ago but that it was a gift for someone (say your little brother or whoever). That would explain why...

Worst case scenario i f you find out you have a demo - take the thing home, play with it, and then return it closer to the release of the real item. As long as everything is in good shape you can just tell them that you bought it as a gift and that the person just opened it. No retailer that...
