Probably because Mass Effect 1 was published by Microsoft which is why you're probably never going to see the original on any other console other than Windows PC and Xbox 360/Future Xbox's (Possibly). This is why I just got ME2 (and will get ME3) on the Xbox 360 so I can "complete" the series...
