I just answered my own question. Per Wikipedia, TAGES does install drivers on the system to work:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tag%C3%A8s
Also, note that to work with Windows 7, it claims you need to download updated drivers from their site, post-install.. since the game will presumably...
Granted.
I was just letting people who are completely anti-TAGES/anti-DRM know that the disk version still installs it.
Actually, does TAGES install files/drivers/registry keys on the system a la SecureROM, or is it just code embedded in the executable itself with no external effect on the...
From your link about the DRM - the retail version DOES use TAGES, per the developer, as the disk check mechanism
So, you're still getting TAGES, just no activation limits...

Ah, well I didn't order it until about 11:00 AM on the 17th (EDT)..
BTW: For those people who already had DoWII via Steam, and added Chaos Rising, did you have an extremely small download, also?
When I went to download Chaos Rising, Steam told me it was
Wait, do you mean is supposed to be on the same page as the CD Key?
I already did go there (and just double-checked to be sure) because the email I received never held the CD Key, I had to log in to get it.
On my "view my order page", I only see the CD Key for the game, the link for THQ's...

Actually, the winners get any game of their choice (up to $50)..
So, winning and picking a $10 game isn't exactly the most 'cost effective' [for lack of better term] - I'd find a game I wanted in the $40-$50 range and buy Torchlight out of pocket to make the most out of winning, personally! :D
Figures.
As soon as I post about the homepage versus Sale page price mismatch, D2D goes ahead and fixes the price.
It's showing as $14.95 everywhere on the site now.
What's really weird is the D2D homepage claims Champions Online IS 50% off, at $14.95.. however, the 24 Days of Christmas and the game's page both say $29.95.
Although, while I still see Torchlight advertised on the D2D homepage, I don't see it on the 24 Days of Christmas page - I see...
