Monitor listings are often like this, you can't take their word for any non-obvious spec they give. That number is based on if you turn the dimming feature on which will adjust backlight in dim scenes, so they can just measure a full black screen and a full white screen and claim crazy contrast...

Eh, this is "fuck it, sure" price.  Only way I could possibly be disappointed is if it destroys my controllers and there are no reviews suggesting that.

Not 100% sure, but the PC version tops out at 1080p internally without mods, so I'd say there's a really good chance it's 1080p on all platforms.

Got my pre-order for the disc drive model by physically going to gamestop earlier.  I hate how severely sony has dropped the ball with this whole thing.  Objectively that had to be the worst video game press event of all time, none of the important information was given during the event itself...

It really is a fantastic package, my issue with it is personal: I own most of the stuff I want from it and my cost is bloated by DLC I'm not terribly interested in. Still kinda considering it since it's $27 for me to get a lot of older titles I'm interested in.
