This "first" post will have current KS campaigns that are currently live and I am following or backed. Obviously this is all very subjective since I started this forum, but feel free to mention others that might be of interest. Obviously I am sticking towards video/ board games, but always open to suggestions.

Also another good site to check for Board Games is Gamefound

I have no idea how I missed this one from the beginning of it's campaign. Mix of Stardew Valley and Pokemon. I did add it to the main posting above.

Although no idea how Nintendo doesn't send a cease a desist order especially considering that the 200K stretch goal is for a switch version.

The dev did Littlewood https://store.steampowered.com/app/894940/Littlewood/ and Magicite https://store.steampowered.com/app/268750/Magicite/ If wanted to check out previous games.

I think it’s different enough to not get hit by Nintendo, especially with Nexomon on Switch.

In other news (coming back to the one that started it all... EGM released the digital archive version for the Compendium. I got a code yesterday. Still have not looked at it. Battling with myself if I want to check it out or wait for the physical book.

I had a chance to quickly checkout the EGM archive, and it's really cool. Yes, I got the book, but once they add downloading, I'll probably download every issue lol
It does make me wonder how BIG the final product is going to be

The surveys went out and I saw in their quesitons they are checking the temperature if they (EGM) were to come back as a regular magazine in some form.

lol yeah that's a good point. Going through the archive, I almost forgot how many ads any given issue had. I'd speculate almost half an issue is ads (which are in the archive, and cool to revisit). Before Game Informer folded, I was amazed they only had two, maybe three ads in the entire issue.

I just filled out the survey too. I'd be down for a monthly, or even bi-monthly EGM again.

I said would be good for a quarterly. Here's the thing I recall with EGM and Game Informer. When I would get the magazines (in the mail); I would usually read the thing from cover to cover within a week. Maybe re-visit them, but they felt really shallow and this was also before everything was on the internet (yes, I'm old). Don't even get me started on the waste that was (imo) Game Infarcer.

Now I subscribe to Edge magazine and I am shocked with how much information there is in each issue.

i used to read every article and every page cover to cover to. GamePro, EGM, game informer, Nintendo power, OPM. I had so many magazines growing up and many tossed with moving. I did keep collectors editions and OPM demo discs. Especially launch issues and 100th issue prints.

Don't know how I forgot about OPM! What a time when you would get demos on a disc. I know the digital store fronts have demos now, but something altogether different/ unique to open a magazine and get that disc!

I also feel like the phrase "pro tip" originated in GamePro. I could be wrong 🙃

Found a new KS

The Complete SNES - Collector's Book (Limited Dust Sleeve)

Altough tbh I couldn't recommend this book more: Super Nintendo Anthology (Geeks Line Publishing). I have their NES Antholgy and it is impressive from a information and quality standpoint (and yes, I backed their PS2 Anthology)

Have Animation Versus and Monsterpatch both ending in a couple of days.

Still on the fence on both of these. I love the Animation series on the web, but I tend to get bored with fighting games in 5 minutes (that and the "release"date being 2028). Monsterpatch is very intriguing, but don't think I will ever play it or sink enough time into it to make it worthwhile...

$20 for Monsterpatch seems worth it for all three versions of the game. I backed it. I am sure I will forget about it so when it does release, it will be a nice surprise.

The nice little surprise comment pushed me over the edge. Now just have to decide if I get a Steam Deck key and let this get buried with all of my backlog or Switch key and actually use my Switch (and prolong it's life)?

I only notice this because I update the main posting everyday, but The Abxylute One Pro dropped over 200% from yesterday. Wonder why so many are cancelling their pledges?

Could it be one major donation fell off or could it be people are worried about tariffs? I have noticed a lot more talk around board game/ physical items being affected (or is it effected? can nver keep that straight)?

Well here is an intersting idea (just added to main post). A KS campaign to bring back live serivce games that are no longer running. If anything check out their page just to view the list of games they are "targeting". Was kind of mind blowing. Going to follow this one if for nothing else to see the updates and comments.

Can't even imagine the logistics of all of this.

Interesting concept, but no way right? They don't even have any tentative agreements in place. Maybe they pull it off with some small no-name game, but they have Sony, EA, Runescape, and Maplestory games on there which will never happen.

100% I can't see any of those companies saying "Yes please take our games (and our coding) to make money". It is kind of like taking your ball and going home, but not taking your ball. I was hoping that it would get funded just to watch the comments during the campaign. As the tracker indicates, it is still at 0%

Other news, I backed a new KS called Wonder Blocks: Smart Nature Observatory. I bought my wife a Bird Buddy (bird feeder with a camera) and this is the same company. She raises Monarch butterflies (don't ask :ROFLMAO:) so their new Petal will be perfect.

KS websites states "Projects must create something to share with others."

They are doing that. But if the demo is going to take 500K how much is the actual game going to take???

The KS sites says (paraphrasin) that KS does not allow contests, coupons, gambling, and raffles. Energy food and drinks. Offensive material (e.g., hate speech, encouraging violence against others, etc). Offering a genetically modified organism as a reward..."

I just find it insane they think they have goals out ot $2 million. I mean, how many projects have actually raised that kind of money??

Joe & Mac Retro Collection (29 days left 13% funded)

What I find intersting is that they have a "social" goal. Normally there are stretch goals (which I could not find). The social goal is 100 backers by June 14th.

Currently they are at 48...on the fence with this one.
Is this Kickstarter for Joe & Mac the only way to obtain a Physical Nintendo Switch copy ?

If it does well enough I am sure they would do a regular retail release (or through LRG (man hate giving them "ad" space or VGP). However, if you do back then you know you would get a physical copy ( minus the inherent risks with backing a KS obviously).

Of the 9 projects I have backed: 1 has been completly filled and another has been 75% filled ( I have received 3 of 4 books and the 4th is heading to printer). The rest I am still waiting on (to be fair only 2 have missed the expected fulfillmet date: EGM and PS2 Anthology; both of which I have utmost confidence with the end result).

I was excited about this one (I might still back it), but the $32 shipping has me thinking otherwise (unless I am reading the campaign wrong).

Re: Joe & Mac

I backed the KS just so I could ask the question if I was correct about the shipping cost. Considering whoever is running the campaign answered all the questions before and after my comment I can only guess that either; a) I was acuurate in the $32 shipping or b) they are too worried to answer the question and have people back out or c) they did not see my comment.

So I cancelled my pledge. I can not justify that cost of shipping. Even if it is because of tariffs or whatever and should be passed onto the consumer; this is not somethig that I need.

I am curious about this: https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/tasseidenki/gaime-plug-and-play-time-crisis-gun-system-for-modern-tvs?ref=discovery&term=time crisis&total_hits=36&category_id=52

But with only 4 games and no mention I can find of adding more it better be pretty cheap. I have a Siden already but a plug and play sounds handy to have.
Great find! I had those games back in the day. I marked it to be notified so will definitely post it here when it begins.

I think it would be great to show my son a light gun game (other than Duck Hunt...that damn Dog!). If this is Plug & Play highly unlikely that there would be more games coming for it (also how many home gun games were there really?).

My bigger question is how much will it be for a 2nd gun?

There actually more than you realize. Between all the Time Crisis games, Virtua Cop, House of Dead, Point Blank, Silent scopes. Thats just off the top of my head never mind all the arcade ones.

Thought in the KS it said Point Blank is included. Can't believe forgot about Virtua Cop...

Would be cool to see Operation Thunder or was it Wolf??? or the Terminator games ( I think Jurassic Park had one too now that you mention it)

It is but there was like 4 of them. Don't forget there was the Alien games as well, Area 51, Carnevil but including arcade games there are loads of gun games.

Read the KS further...

Mentioned are "other" packages with "larger selection of classic light-gun titles like POINT BLANK, STEEL GUNNER and STEEL GUNNER 2"...also very cool they have Bandai's support. It also isn't quite clear how the gun works? Is everytting included in the gun itself? Is there a separte "box" I connect to? The video clearly has wires coming from the gun (and also shows 4 player split screen).

Price...here's a concern. One of the "early bird" offers menttion a 4,000 Yen discount (about $28).

My guess would be:
Base: $75
Upgrade $125
Upgrade 2 $140

Extra gun $40

I believe is mention is done by a camera in the gun and AI, looks like there is a small box under the TV so i'd assume the gun plugs into that then power and HDMI comes from that. Aye nice hopefully their other packages do include more games would be amazing to see more licenced games hell just give me all the Time Crisis games think there like 7 of them now

The KS launches June 24th at noon. I also wonder when their exepected release date is...
