This thread will attempt to provide a place to discuss past/present/future PC gaming deals. While mainly focusing on Steam games, any standout sales may also be presented. I will not be updating every Daily/Weekly/etc. sale. The tools to help individuals become a smarter shopper will be provided below.

See this POST for links to store sale pages, threads of interest and other tools to help you become a more informed PC game shopper.

I wonder if they are just trying to get ahead since the last game plummeted in price like a rock. Which is kinda sad as iirc msrp was 40 for it.
Probably not. It got fixed after a few hours. I think they probably just meant to make the first game 77% off but accidentally made the 2nd one the same % off

EDIT: Got this email just now:

"We’re reaching out to let you know about an issue that occurred on April 30th involving the pricing of Demon Slayer -Kimetsu no Yaiba- The Hinokami Chronicles 2 - Deluxe Edition on our website. Due to a technical error, the game was listed at an incorrect, heavily discounted price.

We’re currently reversing all orders placed at the incorrect price and issuing full refunds. Refunds are being processed now and should be completed within 14 working days.

We understand this may be disappointing, and we sincerely apologise for the confusion and any inconvenience caused. As a small gesture, we’re giving you a $1 gift card, which you can redeem HERE for any future purchase."

Bundles are starting to feel like heavier sale than I'm getting a bargain unless the games are very old like the X-Com ones (not bashing that bundle but it's a cheaper one). Daily deals mirror the bundle prices mostly. It sucks for sure. I thought about that Demon Slayer game but not reading the manga or watching the anime I said eh whatever.

It's very cliche, but the art is worth it alone.

One series of I recommend the anime over the source just because the level of detail is insane.

Rumor is: NVidia is already readying Super versions of some of their 5000 series GPU's with more VRAM:
-> https://www.pcgamesn.com/nvidia/geforce-rtx-5080-5070-super-rumor

Namely, 18gb 5070 Super and 24gb 5080 Supers.

I wondered why 5070ti haven't been selling out as quickly. I wouldn't do $1400 (bs markups) for a 5080 when it has the same amount of VRAM as the 5070 ti at $825, but if the 5080 had 24gb, that gets very interesting for AI/LLM stuff. Now if we could get a 5070 Ti Super with 24gb, that'd be a perfect balance.

$21.69 for Evil Dead GOTY version. It's 61% off and a removed game.

It's cheaper on WinGameStore, $16.99. It's also been free before on epic, but I think that was just the base game?

Went looking for a new Steam Deck game to get addicted to since I finally broke free of Luck Be a Landlord and it perfect timing with the Koei sale. Warriors Abyss looks like an easy new addiction for a musou fiend like me. Steam Deck will continue to stave off office drudgery by making my lunch break enjoyable.

Warriors: Abyss looks interesting. Will have to check that one out.

So with Switch 2 and Xbox games being more expensive, I wonder if the same will happen with most games on Steam including already released titles.
Some AAA games will probably reach $80 on steam. The difference is we're all used to major steam discounts (if not directly on steam, grey market sellers or third party sites). Probably won't affect steam much in the grand scheme of things, unlike Nintendo that hardly ever discounts their games and $40 is considered a "deal".

Yeah, I hope there will still be significant discounts. Takes a long time for 75% or more now on some titles and bundles aren't so good anymore, but at least usually you can get a game for less than $40.
