Groceries are low profit items. After expenses, they only make 1-3% on them. So no, they aren’t in it for the money on groceries. They are in it to get butts in their store to buy other higher profit margin stuff.

No, there are more closing later this month. I went into my main store to use my $5. The usual guy asked me if I had any open preorders because they are closing the 18th. (They are one of the stores that got closing boxes before the announcement this week). my store is not on that list…yet.
