I've been using a Secret Labs Titan for the last couple of years as both my daytime work-from-home desk chair and my evening PC use/gaming chair.  No complaints; it's still comfortable and holding up just fine.

I'll just agree with folks that SR3 was my sweet spot and SR4 felt like too much stuff away from "wacky crime sim" while also feeling like not enough new stuff with the reskinned city.  I finished it but it didn't engage me like 3 did. Haven't played the reboot, even the joints inclined to...

I played a bunch of Fallout 4 but was bored with The Outer Worlds by the time I hit the space station. The perk system didn't allow for much, the companions were just "okay" and the consumerism vibe went from satirical to "ok, I get it you can stop now".  I bailed before setting off to the next...

Turns out that it didn't matter anyway since Patch 2 is making significant enough changes (1,500 potential voice lines for Minthara fixed) that I shelved my #2 Run until it comes out.

Maybe. I just knew there was a limit so better safe than sorry.

Larian says that the next patch will expand on the character epilogues so maybe it's for the best that you delay anyway. (I had to take my Game One ending save states and move them elsewhere so I don't overwrite them while playing Game Two)

I think waiting for a sale is a fine choice. Single player so it'll still be the same game when you get around to buying it. And, although there's some plot spoilers floating around, the real experience is in the world itself and not the what-happens-to-who bits.

I've been playing Hogwarts since the early play period when all the wailing Cassandras were saying I'd get 20fps and the game ran fine for me.  I was getting ~150fps with no notable stutter or delays (no 3s waits for a door to open, etc).  This was with an i7-13700k, 3080 ti and 32GB of DDR5 so...

I own Nvidia cards but I've been advising people to buy AMD cards for the last 6-8 months now. The price/performance is in AMD's favor as they try to clear out old stock and, at that tier, things like ray-tracing matter a lot less.

I've been playing Hogwarts on an i7-13700k and RTX 3080Ti.  At 1440p Ultra, ray-tracing off, DLSS Quality, I was getting about 150-200fps in Hogwarts and 110-150fps out in the world.  The second day, that dipped dramatically but I later realized that ray-tracing had turned itself on somehow. ...

Yeah, I'm not saying anyone should run out and buy Asterigos full price, more of a "Maybe wishlist or remember this if you see it bundled someday" sort of thing. Idle chatter about a game I played, really. Different strokes and all but even as a "dying world", Elden Ring felt static and...

I turned off the multiplayer/online stuff from the start and, the one or two times I clicked it on for something, it was awful. The place is so littered with blood splatters, ghosts and meme messages as to make their supposed function pointless and summoning in randos to fight bosses for me...

Supposedly they are hiring a lighting developer for Div 2 so I guess they're still doing something with it.  The listing said that ray tracing experience is a plus so, of course, some see that as "Div 2 is getting ray tracing" but it could just be helpful when some other group steals Div's new...

Supposedly there is a new game mode ("Descent") and story season planned for this spring. Who knows though; this is the outfit that keeps holding Halloween cosmetic events over Christmas because they're not ready in time.

Feels the opposite to me. With fast internet, I can download 100GB pretty quickly but installing from optical media onto a HDD was something to let run while making lunch. Unless you mean having to play off of an optical drive each time, in which case: eww, no.

ACK-shully, RDO was once glitched for $1.24 on Humble (or 99¢ with Humble discount). Then there was an offer? glitch? where you could buy the story mode from the RDO in-game store for $4.99 last year. So you just need to have caught both events to have RDR2 for a svelte $6.23 I still haven't...

I'm out of town and picked up this Asus 15" model based on a couple C|Net & PC World style "best portable monitor" articles. Came well rated and the Amazon reviews (for what those are worth) are positive. Mind you, I'm using it for boring office stuff and not gaming. The foldable stand is...

Picked up a used GTX 1650 for $80 today (wanted a PCIe powered card for an office PC).  Was kind of funny thinking about how it was $300 used maybe six months ago.  Ironically, for all the good prices on far better cards, the RX 6400 is still sitting at $150 so getting a better card for half the...
