I was an avid user of Stitcher before it was shut down, but I've been using PocketCast and it's very similar. If Podcast Addict doesn't do it for you, you might want to give PocketCast a whirl. I'm regards to the batteries, if you have an IKEA nearby, they carry an Eneloop equivalent battery...
