My previous unit was quite loud for the first few minutes after startup and would (mostly) wind down.

I use my Switch a lot, I found it to be worth it after sinking hundreds and hundreds of hours into it. So, the battery is definitely better, unit is much quieter, and now I have a fresh warranty (along with a new set of joy-cons).

If they allowed TV functionality for the Switch Lite, there would be no reason for people to buy the original model... unless they think a slightly better battery and HD rumble are worth an extra $100, which most wouldn't even consider.

I haven’t seen much talk of it, but I’ve noticed some very slight differences between V1 & V2, and not that it matters here, but the vent is shaped slightly differently and I’m pretty sure the housing is made of a different material.

Even less surprising and more probable is that people are generally horrible with money and often make poor financial decisions.

That's what I was thinking - basically got Christmas out of the way for a fraction of the cost thanks to that amazing glitch. That being said, they had that InstaPot glitch earlier this year that got discovered quite quickly and all orders were canceled, so anything could happen.

I live out in the boondocks of MN. Ordered Friday evening and it was, surprisingly, at my door before noon the next day. I know what you mean though, this seems to be coming the norm more and more lately.
