That's generally me with Pokemon games a lot of the time. Generally I save up for one or both games. Yea depending on the game, some are still rather expensive. So for anything 1st party, I get a few a year. Generally if there's a good sale for the most part though. Anything else I get used...

Good question.  I generally try to get it when it's on sale (when I'm able to). A lot of times though, the sales are pretty random, so the timing may not always be at a point when I can pick it up. So it's onto waiting again.

That's great news! Glad it worked out for you. Definitely. Meijer's has been a good place to get consoles for years. Haven't run into any real problems with the ones I got from there.

You live anywhere near a Meijers? They tend to have Santa Bucks right after the Thanksgiving sale. You can save around $20 for things over $99 (iirc). ( Was able to buy games with it (the Santa Bucks), as they consider anything like that to be general merchandise.)

Did a bit of shopping via Meijers and lucked out and got a Switch with Mario Kart 8 Deluxe. Luckily this week's sale is very similar to the Black Friday one and it let me just avoid the crowd trying to get one then. Can just focus on Black Friday for smaller stuff then.

Yea in terms of some 3ds and Switch games it's rather underwhelming. But at least there's some decent stuff out there.

It's a pretty fun series. My first one was for the 3ds. Loved hunting the different animals. It's challenging but worth it.
