That's what GS did with the one local to me after the most recent break-in (rammed a stolen car through the store front). It's been rampant since the BLM movement, and sucks to see the place shut down (IMO) after being there for easily over 20 years.
Last of the Oakland location closed down at Fruitvale also. I'm actually surprised that it lasted this long, considering all the break-ins that had happened there.
That will depend if you're buying to flip in the future, or to keep and/or actually play them. Flip, not so much, except for SM Odessey. Keep/play, you'll definitely get your money's worth.

Lucky. At least ya'll got your Ishin steelbooks from GS. My in-store pre-order for Ishin didn't come with the steelbook (more like that store didn't even receive them with the 10 copies of the games they received), so I just canceled the pre-order.
Different for every store, based on my experience. Some will have them at the top part of their respective console section, some in a bin/box, some in the endcap, and some have them mixed in with the rest of the regular/non-clearance games.
Same for me from BB (Valkyrie Elysian), and AmzDE (Diofield). My Diofield was shipped in a thin cardboard/thick paper, and luckily no damage as well - was delivered by DHL.
