Target doesn't mark toys any lower than 70% off for the most part. After that, the item is donated/sent to discount stores like Big Lots, dollar stores, etc... That item is considered "salvaged". So if somehow a clearanced Lego set is never bought, it will eventually go salvage. Target...

Found a Space Police Smash'n'Grab set today at Wal-Mart for $9 ... set 5982. Very odd, but needless to say, I grabbed it.

Just scored massively at Target. Just got Lego POTC The London Escape 4193 for $11 and some change. Very pleased. Wasn't even marked clearance, just had a hunch and scanned it.

I love the bear that comes with the new Lego City Forest Police set... must own. The Dino Sets look cool, but I agree about too much yellow. And yes, they need some sort of building in the Dino line. Friends looks good, except for the figures. I'd be interested in getting a couple of them...

Completed my Series 5 today as well... bought 16, and only 16. Never ended up with a duplicate. The last one is always the hardest to get... which was the Evil Dwarf for me... but luckily I had some time today in Wal-Mart to feel them out. Bring on Series 6!

Wal-Mart has Series 5 now. I grabbed a Snowboarder today. Still looking for an Evil Dwarf and then I'll be done.

I guess. If you have use for the extras, then go for it. I just don't like dropping double/triple/quadruple the amount of money on these damn things. I love them, but it's hard to stomach spending that kind of money on them. Plus, as you said, the bumpcodes are hard to use a lot of the time.

It's much easier to just feel the packages then buy everyone of them in sight. I picked up 8 packages and got 8 different minifigs in probably 8 minutes of "feeling". Gonna go back again later for the remaining 8 to complete my set. Love that TRU is selling them for $2.99 instead of $3.49 too

Don't forget about the DC and Marvel sets.
