Hello I bought the old wireless adapter used and I can't get it to connect to xbox live I know the network here is kinda spoty but if my iPod can get on the network is it because I need to buy the new wireless cause it's a different signal?

I am trying to watch some of the clips on the dashboard, it gets to the loading screen, but a few mins nothing happen, i watch them before, im a silver member
