I am contemplating on getting a Madcatz's SFIV fightpad but I read on some reviews that sometimes the dongles get fried and the d-pad gets stuck. How reliable are they? I don't want to spend more on what I paid for to get it.

I'm looking to buy it but so far I saw 2 versions with different box arts. What's the difference between the 2? Rarity difference? I would like to get the one brand new with the smoky art but I much prefer owning getting all black labels. Does the smoky art have all black labels?
