To recommend something slightly off the beaten track, consider The Dog Island (originally developed in Japan, published in the US by Ubisoft). It's a kid-friendly third-person adventure game, plays entirely with the Wii remote, and is pretty decent if you want a G-rated Zelda clone. --R.J.

IME, the only people who say "There's nothing on Console X I want to play" are either trolls or extremely finicky. Any halfway-decent system will have some titles worth playing on it -- hell, even my Atari Jaguar was worth it for Tempest 2000, Alien vs. Predator, Iron Soldier, and NBA Jam...

If it's that hard for you, why do you make it even harder??? I can beat that part, though it usually takes me a few tries. Even when you know where the health kits and conduits are, taking them out can be tough. You have to find a balance between rushing them (and getting killed) and playing...

Glitching hasn't been too bad for me -- out of dozens of games, I've only had it happen 2 or 3 times. Spent the other day playing several hours of 12-player free-for-all without any problems. --R.J.

Assuming you didn't get a cheater, the best advice is to just not give up and keep practicing online. Learn the benefits/drawbacks of each weapon, learn the layout of the maps, learn the rules for each match type, and develop a playing style that suits you. I personally prefer to rush forward...

Just to echo what others have said, you might want to rent/try The Conduit and see if tweaking the controls/settings can alleviate your motion sickness. For reference, I usually get motion sickness with other FPSes after playing for more than an hour or two; I had to limit my Metroid Prime...

The Wii-hating "hardcore" delegation see The Conduit as a threat to their ego, since it hurts their ability to dismiss the Wii as a fad/kiddie/casualz/wagglebox. Heck, any attempt to make a genuine (third-party) effort on the Wii is a danger to them that must be destroyed... ;) --R.J.

Only tried it briefly so far, and it's great. Slightly lower than what I'd expect from GameStop. While the review isn't as flat-out wrong as the GamePro one, I do question some aspects of it -- especially the ding that the invisible mines are "too cheap". Geez Louise, your ASE buzzes like...

For what it's worth, I've only played Metroid Prime 3, but gave up on it due to (a) ridiculously far savepoints and (b) insufficient gunplay. MP3 is a great adventure game, but I wouldn't call it an FPS in the vein of Doom, Halo, or Marathon. --R.J.
