^Yeah, i've basically gave up, been trying to get a gba sp to try it out, but when i get my soldering iron back, i'll bridge the ground with pin 6 (the pin on top of the 'R6' on the chip?)

i got an official gamecube/gba cable and an official micro link cable, and i was reading the method to dothis on the first page, and am kinda lost.
from what i've read, the end result should look like this:

to me one end looked like a male end and the other looked like a female end.
i shall buy it then and give it a try.. if it doesn't work i'll send the other end to you troz
also if i could get someone to do it for me, instead of the official micro link cables, can the official micro communication cable be used instead?
