Isn't that what the weird little novelty publishers were already doing? In theory, nothing is stopping anyone from doing a "full release", and these carts are replacing all the stupid "10% of the game is on the card, download the rest" we had on the Switch. I mean, I feel like it's hard to...

Yes, that is my (potential) plan with regards to Metroid Prime 4. If they OFFER the Switch version with the vouchers, I'm looking at (less than) $50 + $10 upgrade fee... theoretically. No tax, and cheaper than any other method.

Assuming it's added to the voucher program, that might be the best way to do Metroid Prime 4...

Technically, we don't know how that system might work... I think the "loophole" people were using might be closed down, but you should be able to "log in" to your account on any system. There was a noted option for "online" access that could be enabled in the system settings. Essentially...

See, I try not to buy anything I plan to resell, but that's just me... The other thing I forgot to mention is that digital sales are tax-free here, but physical purchases would be taxed -- so there's another savings. That, of course, depends on where you live.

Well... Costco/Sam's Club: $100 in eShop credit for $90 5% back in gold coins = $5 back/discount For $85, you get two first party Nintendo Switch games for just $42.50 each. Unless you want to wait for months/years, it's really hard to beat that,

The voucher program is essentially ending, if it won't work for Switch 2 games... which is a shame, as it was generally the cheapest way to get first party Nintendo software.

So, my pro ends later this month and I'm struggling to find something to use my $5 coupon on. Can the pro coupon be used on in-store purchases of digital items (download codes)? I know it can't be used on currency anymore, but I wasn't sure if buying games was different.

Why? This just seems like an incredibly unlikely thing -- I mean, it's not like the cartridge slot is a big expense, relative to disk drives.

I have to admit that I was thinking more along the lines of the Switch (without joycon) unit size -- about 9.5" x 4". I can't see any device being that big and still being considered "phone" portable, hence my confusion... I was thinking strictly of the dimensions of the device. If we ignore...

... are there any phones (not tablets) with screens bigger than the original Switch? I don't see how they'd be portable as phones.

"Game Sharing" on Switches is really more of a side effect of how their login system works. The intent isn't to "share games" -- the intent is to allowing owned games on a Switch to be played by any other family member using that Switch. "Game Sharing" is the result of users gaming the system.

People are talking about different things here. If you're talking about the Family Plan for Nintendo Switch Online ($35, up to 8 people, NES/SNES/Game Boy/Game Boy Color games) * You add each USER to the plan, up to 8 people total. You are the primary/managing user. * Each user can access all...

Did anyone mention the CVS promo going on right now? If you buy $100 in Nintendo eShop cards while using your CVS "ExtraCare" account (card or phone number), you'll get back $20 in store credit (Extrabucks?) that can be used on most merchandise. Not more gift cards, sadly. I heard about the...

    Humble Bundle Thread

Humble sent out an email about "refer a friend" going away due to a "spike in referral abuse". 1) How did their referral program work? 2) Is there any particular reason for the "spike"? Did something happen, or did they implement a poorly-thought-out system?
