Scummy move by them. They probably realize their profit margins are getting thinner so they're looking for any way to save some money. I still have a couple 5% off coupons (with no visible expiration dates) so hopefully I don't have a similar problem trying to use them.

My local Walmart lowered all the previous clearance games to $1, $5, $10, or $15. Most of the good stuff was already bought up at higher prices so I passed on most of drops. Did get FIFA 22 (Switch) for $5 and Ark (PS4) for $5.

So non-ESRB releases are now a thing at LRG? That makes it easier for me to skip, especially at LRG prices. In the past they have released games done in other regions as ESRB releases but I guess they are no longer doing that for some releases.

They also canceled my preordered copy of Tetris Effect PS5 after 2 months of approving delays. Kind of makes me wonder if they ever got any in at all. I didn't realize target would give $10 gift cards for canceled preorders. Man, I would have had about $100 in gift cards by now if I knew...

While the PS2 book looks real nice, I'm still hesitant to order one since they screwed me on the last book I ordered from them, and never responded to emails about their mess up.

Supposedly Purple Dot is now getting the interest free loans (since they are holding the preorder money), not LRG. I assume they would then pay LRG when the items ship.

I still dont get the purpose of Purple Dot. You sill get charged in full at time of preorder except now Purple Dot gets the interest free loan and not LRG. You can cancel easily now too, but in the past if you opened a ticket you could also cancel under most circumstances. You can no longer...

For third part sellers, I generally check and see what their address is. If its based in the US or Canada I assume its going to be an ESRB release. If its anywhere else (especially Europe), I assume it will be an EU or PEGI release.

I actually thought this was a numbered title but checked and you are correct, it is a distributed title for all the systems it was released for. I imagine Amazon will eventually stock it but as of now am not aware of it being available anywhere yet.

I'm definitely a console and dedicated handheld gamer. Not a PC gamer and not a cell phone gamer. But for those that enjoy those platforms, more power to you. It's just not for me. I prefer the ease of use of a dedicated gaming machine.

Ended up getting ZAMN and Ghoul Patrol SNES versions for $30 each. May go for some merch if the discounts get steeper tomorrow; otherwise I'm done with the sale.
