This rumor is gaining steam, it's getting mentioned a lot more on the internet (no one legitimate). I guess we'll see on jan 28th if the rumor is true or not.

With the free 5 BD deal ending 1/31, and I also heard the spiderman 3/ motorstorm bundles are also ending at the end the month (unconfirmed, I believe). It seems to me that either a price drop or at least a new bundle is coming soon. So I'll wait until feb before I get my PS3.

I haven't had the GI/card sales pitch since the funcoland turned into GS, (which was years ago). GS never offered me the sub/card. I live in Louisville btw.
