CAGbag: Get your questions answered on CAGcast

Hey Cheapy & Wombat, Big fan of the show! I was hoping you could help out a fellow cheap gamer - Here's a little name game for you... Gears of War 2 Fallout 3 Resistance 2 Fable 2 LittleBigPlanet Choose two to buy. Tough choice, I know. But I'd love to get your opinions. Keep up the good work...

Who plays Kratos in the God of War movie?

    All-CG movie maybe?

Who plays Kratos in the God of War movie?

I think if GoW: The Movie of the Game ends up being a 300-esque gorefest, Vin Diesel could slot in pretty well a'la Riddick. I do worry a little about his acting chops, but somehow I doubt GoW:TMotG is going to be a tour de force of drama and emotion.

Who plays Kratos in the God of War movie?

I'm on board. Especially being a Celtics fan.

Who plays Kratos in the God of War movie?

Let's put aside the Brett Ratner discussion for now. Who's your best (or worst) pick for Kratos in the 'greenlit' God of War movie? I think Clive Owen could do it. Although, Stallone would be hilarious. "Ay, yo Athena! It's me, Kratos!"

What's coming up in your GameFly queue (and why)?

Yeah I'm a big fan of the deals that can be had as a gamefly member (Mass Effect for 20$ - 7$ cheaper than anywhere else I could find it at the time). Generally, I fill in my "backlog" with older games I never got to play - hence Psychonauts. Assassin's Creed is on there. Lego games...

What's coming up in your GameFly queue (and why)?

I've got Burnout Paradise out, and I've had it about 6 weeks (Owning BadCompany, RockBand and Mass Effect has taken time away). Love Burnout, really fun game, I'm gonna try to pick up a couple more achievements, then send it back. Here's what I've got coming up: Lego Indy: Friends are...

Activision cans Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend?

The word from Activision CEO is that Activision is going to try to sell Sierra, according to NextGen. I suspect they are going to poach a few titles/franchises before they do. But, most of these articles about the publishing is directly related to games that came into the house on the...

Activision cans Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend?

To editorialize that a little: I have no clue why they wouldn't want to publish Ghostbusters, or Brutal Legend even. Those games have crazy hype behind them, and the Ghostbusters game is getting good press. What the fuck kind of hype is there surrounding Spyro? Really? The gay dragon franchise...

Activision cans Ghostbusters and Brutal Legend?

Calm down. Let's not freak out on a Kotaku rumor. Rumor. The idea is that Vivendi is cherry picking which Sierra games it wants to publish. When they've made their selections, they'll most likely giving publishing rights to someone else...

What games are you getting for your wife/girlfriend?

My wife watches a lot of cooking/food shows, and antiques roadshow, and she likes to shop and use my iPod Touch to surf the web, so she has her things to do. Thankfully, she's not just sitting there angrily watching me play. But that's a good point about boardgames. We're both huge fans of...

What games are you getting for your wife/girlfriend?

I think that's a pretty good description of my situation. My wife doesn't mind that I play games (unless I'm playing "too much"), but she will watch a good cutscene, or if the graphics are really good. She played the Viva Pinata Demo with me, and she thought that was kind of cool. I still...

What games are you getting for your wife/girlfriend?

I'm sure there are plenty of CAGs that have girlfriends or wives (or boyfriends/husbands) that aren't (or weren't at one time) gamers. My wife hasn't played any significant amount of games since her older brothers shared their Nintendo Entertainment System when she was little. I've been a...

Hell Boy 2: The Golden Army

I might be willing to be that you're rarely impressed with superhero movies in general. If you didn't like the first, then yeah, you're probably not going to like the second. What I like about the two is that they're clearly grounded in fantasy, they integrate CG effects with live action...

Special ordered from China, you can't get onestars in stores anymore. But I might be wrong now, because I think Converse sold a bunch of manufacturing rights?

Hell Boy 2: The Golden Army

I was lucky enough to win tickets to see this on Tuesday night. If you're a fan of Hellboy. If you're a fan of Superhero/comic movies. If you're a fan of Pan's Labyrinth (or Guillermo del Toro in general). If you're a fan of well-executed, visually well-crafted movies ... Definitely a film...

    Your Top 5 Superhero Movies

I think you're right. Ultimately, anyone who does "extraordinary" things for a cause (good or evil, really), could be considered a 'superhero', especially given a certain context. The Punisher is a good example. All he really is, is a guy with a bunch of guns who is out for revenge. Marv isn't...

    Your Top 5 Superhero Movies

Having seen an advance screening of Hellboy 2, I'd personally say it's better than the first. It's really an all-around fantastic movie, but the art style is truly stunning. I considered Sin City (And even 300) for my list, but I'm not entirely sure if I could consider Marv a superhero. He'd...
