Those deals on Fisherman's Tale and Moss are excellent for new Quest owners. Some of the best VR games of last gen.

The slowing trickle of AAA games (especially first party) has really slowed some of the discounts. Dead Island 2 took a fair while to go down, as did Starfield, FH5, and even AA stuff like Robocop. I've also noticed games that plummeted last gen are priced higher after patches (Cyberpunk, No...

    The 2024 Gamestop Thread

I'm in DFW, where Gamestop is based, and they just closed their marquee store, the one they used for marketing and staff training. A handful of others were closed as well. I know we've been ringing this bell for years, but it's not looking good for them.

For me, I don't know that this was worth the trade-off in what we lost, but oh well.

    CAGcast #763: Hard Whiz

I don't know what your problem is. I agree with you: It is ABSOLUTELY happening. I teach in a school, and we can't even keep the porn on the shelves because kids know that school libraries are THE place to acquire porn; there are literally no alternatives. Frankly, it's why we have to turn so...

    CAGcast #763: Hard Whiz

Isn't it sad when people don't embrace the mythology your sort is leveraging in order to justify your bigotry? I truly feel for you. If it was up to me, the mountains of porn brought into public schools by drag queens wielding dildos that they use to diddle children en route should *immediately*...

CAGbag: Get your questions answered on CAGcast

Hey guys, Thanks for doing the show. I've been listening since 2007, and I still enjoy every episode. Truly appreciate your time. From the beginning of the CAGcast to now, what were each host's most pleasant gaming suprises? One or two games that you had NO expectations of goodness for that...

    CAGcast #762: WOMBATHANA

I haven't gotten to the DLC yet, but I agree on the game. I'm so glad Wombat put me onto this. The tactics gameplay is amazing, and I thought the writing (once you bought into the bizarre premise) was suprisigingly true to the characters.

Really enjoyed Artful Escape, but it benefited from being played an hour at a time off and on over a couple of weeks. If I'd tried to rush through it, I don't think I'd have liked it as much due to relative absence of mechanics. Visuals are top tier, though, and I really liked the ending.

I feel like certain characters look great in motion, but they're usually the more over-the-top ones. The Atom and TMNT, for example, have movements that not only represent their characters really well, but they're not awkward looking in combat at all.

And you could use the multitap to give the 2nd player the same set-up, allowing each player to play with 2 controllers. The game was great, and although the SNES destroyed it, the technical achievements in having that large a number of sprites onscreen with only minor slowdown and flicker on...

Other than Sniper Elite VR for $17.99, does anyone else see any good games to grab for the PSN black Friday sale? I hate that they won't let us sort by "VR," so I can never tell what they have.

Just grabbed online:  13 Sentinels (18.99) Last of Us 2 (18.99) Yakuza remasteed collection (18.99) Yesterday I went in-store and got: Mass Effect Legendary collection (36.99) Hitman 3 (34.99) Resident Evil Village (44.99) Didn't do as well with that in-store grab, but Village was a steelbook...

This is how I feel about every Remedy game: uniquely ambitious, but flawed. That said, Alan Wake was my second favorite after the first Max Payne. And the less said about Control and Quantum Break, the better.

It's probably one of the best portrayals of TMNT in gaming since the arcade days. If you have Injustice 2, it's completely worth it. In other news, that Fallout 4 season pass has to be an all-time low price, right?

I completely agree with this. There are many, many lightgun-esque games on PSVR (VRigade 1 and 2 probably being the best...and I'd say that even Blood and Truth *almost* counts) but games like Arizona Sunshine and Farpoint are much more FPS than they are lightgun games.
