sounds like a good combo, I was thinking of getting about the same thing..but it appears that NewEgg is out of that enclosure, because I can't find it on the site. I ordered an external 300 GB Fantom drive last week, but I think I am going to return it and get an HDD+enclosure.

A couple questions , maybe one of you can help me with this. Is it better to just get an enclosure and a good HD or just get an external drive? If you have both an Firewire and Usb 2.0 ports, does it make any speed difference on which of them you choose? Thanks in advance.
