I couldn't be less excited for any of this VR stuff. There are so many companies trying to shoehorn themselves into the market. I'll wait five years and buy whatever survives as the one to get.

Must not be very far into the game. 4790k/970/16GB and on ultra (even with Godrays off and at 1080p) the game dips heavily into the mid to low 40's when in places like Lexington or Diamond City. It runs well for the most part, but it's far from a solid 60FPS experience with everything cranked...

Been playing nightly between 12AM-3AM Eastern since the free code went live. No luck. Might have to change up the times I play these last few days.

IIRC last year people didn't start receiving codes from postcards until either right before the online code went live or after. Either way, it seemed pointless to send in postcards. Mine wasn't quite that fast, but it didn't take too long. IIRC mine wound up taking like two weeks. Patiently waiting for the online code to go up for this one.

Made the switch a couple days ago once I saw that Creative got their drivers up. After spending about 30 minutes running through and disabling all the ridiculous phone home stuff and going through Powershell and deleting all the garbage on the bloated start menu I'm starting to like it.

This is mainly why I'm waiting. Creative is taking their slow ass time and doesn't plan on releasing drivers for my sound card until October.

Even if you had an X1 or PS4, neither of those run at 60FPS, which your PC should be able to do. That's pretty huge honestly.

Even with all settings turned all the way down, it still looks better than either the PS3 or 360 versions. That said, you shouldn't have to run everything on low with your specs. Sure, you wont max everything, but I'd imagine you could get away with very high textures and some other stuff on...

Pause > Online > Jobs Pick whatever job you want, and send out invites to your friends. I really enjoy the online, but the amount of menus that need to be sifted through can be quite a pain.

200+MB patch came out today. The stuttering I was seeing in singleplayer seems massively reduced, if not completely eliminated. Also getting a bit better performance when driving at high speeds through the city. Previously I'd drop to 55'ish FPS at times, but now it seems to stay rock solid at...

Lots of stuttering. GTX970, i5 2500k @ 4.4, and 8GB's of RAM. Seen TONS of people with 970's also complaining about stuttering. Hopefully Rockstar or Nvidia acknowledge and fix the problem.
