It's 50" 720p but, one thing I learned from my 1080p set is games don't look noticably better at 1080 on xbox and if your playing on a ps3 most games have a natural resolution of 720. 1080 is great for future proofing and blu-ray but, this gen of consoles isn't going away anytime soon...
