I think the Forza vs the GT franchise was also a big factor (and Halo may have helped too). Forza 3 was lavailable at Launch if I'm not mistaken while it took something like 4 years for the ps3 edition of GT (not sure if it was 4 or 5). With GT6 being for the ps3 and NOT 4 it looks like that...

Last year the great prices started around about midnight at the END of black Friday, so that would be in about 3 hours from now if last year was to be replicated (I verified date and time of  my order last year, and I caught the "super sale" very shortly after it started).

You only have a few days to ship it after you lock in the trade in price at Amazon and the shipping date it was showing for standard shipping makes it very unlikely to arrive by then.

You're assuming that the purple contoller will still have a $10 trade in when they arrive via standard shipping. These deals always affect the trade in value, so don't count on it.
