    The wording is definitely strange on their website statement. You could almost read it as they are coming back with a new version of the website or something. However, "We're closing down this service" seems to be pretty explicit unless they are just being coy.

    I can't give you a definite answer, but I'd be careful since other games with expansions/DLC (Borderlands for example) don't have compatibility between Steam and retail versions.
