I can't speak for all FM transmitters, so maybe I've just had bad experiences, but I've only heard and experienced bad things. Quite a few of my friends have them, and either the quality sucks, they pick up other channels, a combination of both, or can't even get their music to transmit. But...

The online store had them at launch, but now of course they don't. I could be wrong, but I believe the Nintendo World Store in NYC still carries the other face plates. I don't think you can buy them anywhere else though, so you might have to trade.

Last night, I picked up a new, sealed copy of Ikaruga that was sitting in a pile of games at my local Wal-Mart for 15 bucks. I've heard a lot of good things about the game, and while I'm very happy with getting it, I'm not sure if I want to hang on to it yet. Ebay prices seem to be around $40...
