GTAV is great compared to IV, but falls apart if you compare it to most other recent open world games. Like Wombat said, the lack of on-screen directions (see: Sleeping Dogs and Saints Row IV drawing giant arrows in the air) distracts me from GTAV's beautiful environment too much. I think...

Assassin's Creed III for $15 was a steal. Haven't seen it that cheap even when there were crazy retail deals on it. Even though it's kind of a terrible game...I like all the other AC games enough to push through and finish it. I'm hoping for good deals on Bioshock Infinite and Tomb Raider...

I've been hovering over RE6 on Gamefly for a few days, about to pay $15 for it. This is perfect timing though! It's about worth $10, I'd say.

Hotline Miami. Haven't played a game so intense and addictive in a long time.

Close one between Persona 4 Golden and Far Cry 3, but FC3 edges it out. That game is near perfection in open world design. Gorgeous, smartly designed systems, and the next thing to do is never far away. It really reminds me of Saints Row The Third; both games make sure you're always having fun.

From what I've ascertained, this is the most metal game ever created.

Assassin's Creed 2 is much better than the original. The controls are different but feel much more capable and it's a lot easier to do some badass-looking stuff. They diversify the mission variety and sidequests, which practically eliminates the big problem of repetition from the first game...

Thanks for the info. Them putting both versions on there is a little confusing. Especially considering the sale made the "better" version of the DLC cheaper!
