New Father needs some Cash (gamecube, wii, other)

Recently found out that my wife is expecting. This will be number three for us, and money is a little tight. So, I am trying to sell a few things. Prices don't include shipping, but if you buy a couple games I could throw in free shipping. All items are mint unless otherwise mentioned. Wii...

    Post College Investing

First. Make a budget. Put in all your expenses and income into it, and see how much you save every month. If you don't save anything try to cut back. Second. Make an emergency fund of 3 to 6 months or expenses. Third. Pay off your debt aggressively Fourth. Now you can think about...

What is the difference between a savings account, Cd and money market

First off. Shop around for CD rates as they vary significantly between banks. As long as the bank is FDIC insured who cares if you have never heard of it. Second off. If you are looking for 5 - 6 % returns and don't mind a little risk try investing in high dividend paying stocks (Catepillar...

    CAG Fantasy Stock Game

It seems to me that some people are treating this as a day trading exercise while others are looking for a long term investment strategy. I will bet the double digit returns will not hold up for long. It is really easy to make money when the markets take a huge hit (not seen since maybe the...

F***king feds............... Fed orders emergency rate cut to 1.5 percent

Just a suggestion but you can divide the money you have into 12 equal parts, and open 12 1 year CDs. If you buy them one a month, you will have continued access to 1/12th your money every month and get a decent return.
