    CAGcast #95: Baby On Board

A double standard? I remember the fracas over the Twilight Princess score and how people defended Gamespot then - to me, the Aaron Thomas review pretty clearly states why the game isn't an 8 or a 9: Being a R&C fan myself, I can see how too much extraneous stuff would distract from the...

Ah crap - Mom bought a 5G iPod last weekend...

My Mom got my sister a 30GB 5G iPod last week, and of course they're releasing the new 80 gig iPod classics for the same price. Anyone know if there's any way to return the old iPod and get a new one?

    CAG Firearm Thread Redux

In terms of cheapass shooting, nothing beats a good old .22, and in terms of cheapass cool .22s, I recommend a NAA Mini-Revolver. A hoot to shoot and the MSRP's less than $200 (you can get used ones for about $100 or so).

    CAGcast #62: Blu-ray Blues

GRAW 2, frankly, does seem like a more-of-the-same sequel. It's "Fallout 2" to GRAW's "Fallout." Well, at least Ubisoft didn't make "Red Steel" a game where you travel to Mexico and people keep calling you gringo over and over and over again. 8-) Still hoping to get Phoenix Wright 2, though...

    CAGcast #61: Cheapy's Choice

I'll expose myself to some heckling and admit I've downloaded some Virtual Console games. AFAIK, R-Type 3 hasn't been re-released anywhere, and it's been well worth the $8. I never had a TG-16, and the shmups available (R-Type, Soldier Blade, Super Star Soldier) are quite fun. Gunstar Heroes is...

    CAGcast #61: Cheapy's Choice

Seems like the last few weeks have been pretty barren with regard to games for the PS3 and the Wii. As for Sony launching the PS3 a year later or w/o Blu-Ray, I think it would have been suicide unless they managed to launch with FFXIII and MGS4 amd brought the price down a hundred bones. The 360...

Zelda - Link to the Past now available on the VC Channel - 800 points

That IGN review seemed pretty bitter about the rest of the Zelda series. I'm guessing that guy didn't like TP much. Time for a classic controller.

CAGcast #58: The Legend of Frank

Oblivion is part FOUR of the Elder Scrolls series. It's a well-known RPG franchise that many reviewers might be inclined to give higher scores just because of the pedigree. Morrowind and Daggerfall are pretty well-known hits, after all. I loved me some Zelda. I could see someone rating it 8.5...

Can't decide whether or not to get Zelda.

I thought WW had some of the best combat in the series (I loved bashing enemies with their own weapons), and some of the best dungeon puzzles, too. I didn't mind sailing but the triforce hunt and the limited number of dungeons was just plain silly. I'm pretty sure any Zelda fan (and indeed...

Official LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS Thread !

Well, it says 30 hours on my save file saved right before the final encounter. I've played every Zelda game ever made (well, I only saw the CD-i Zelda in infomercials, but you get the idea). I kind of "know" what they are going for when they design the world, bosses, and dungeons. Didn't use...

Official LEGEND OF ZELDA: TWILIGHT PRINCESS Thread !

Just beat it. Took 30 hours, not really doing much else but the main quest. Definitely one of the best Zelda games ever. I like it better than OOT, but not more than LttP or the original Zelda.

MODS PLEASE LOCK - The Wii VC Games - Volume 1

I like it. I'm a shooter fan (Radiant Silvergun and Ikaruga are my faves, but I also hold a soft spot for most of the Gradius and R-Type games) so you might need to take that with a grain of salt. In terms of replayability, it's a pretty long game for a shooter - it's got what? seven, eight...

MODS PLEASE LOCK - The Wii VC Games - Volume 1

So far I've been quite pleased with most of my VC purchases - Gunstar Heroes, Solomon's Key, Super Star Soldier. All good games, all worth the points IMHO. Bomberman 93 multiplayer is good, but not as good as later SNES and TG-16 versions, and Sonic 1 is just okay (yeah, I know it's a waste of...

    CAGcast #53: A Convenient Truth

Great show. I like the fact that you rip into Sony, Microsoft, and Nintendo, all in one CAGcast. That's the kind of hard-hitting reporting you just can;t get anywhere else.

Is there a disconnect between press and gamers?

The same could be said for FFXII (actually, FFXII is way closer to KOTOR than almost any other game - I like both, though). Zelda's slow for the first few hours. You need to get into the later dungeons and items to really love it. This is not uncommon in modern RPG-length games(the...

The official "OMG Wii IS HERE!!!!" HAPPY HAPPY JOY JOY THREAD!

Didn't get my Wii.:bomb: Wally World, BB, CC, TRU - all sold out. Part of me is happy, of course, since now we know the Wii won;t be another Virtual Boy, but another part of me wants to play Rayman.

    CAGcast #50: Trick or Twiit

That's a pretty sweet costume for being homemade, Wombat. I have to agree with the "certain aspects of gaming are ignored" complaint. But there's only two guys doing the show and thus only two people playing games. To have someone talk about FFXII, I'd rather they actually play it (I'm about 7...

    CAGcast #48: GhandiD

Good Lord, Cheapy, keep your finger out of the trigger guard until you're ready to shoot. :P Funny show.

    Rumor: PS2 counter-Revolution and PSP/PS3 Flash-es

Well, I just hope Sony eventually ponies up the money to improve their hardware. Sony systems (heck, Sony consumer electronics in general) always seem less reliable.
